Kishon is a river that flows into the Mediterranean Sea.

During the period of the Judges, when Sisera, the commander of King Jabin of Hazor in the Canaan region, attacked, Deborah (Judge) sent Barak to fight. At this time, God granted them victory in the battle.
Judges 4:13Sisera summoned all his chariots—nine hundred iron chariots—and all the men with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim to the Kishon River.Judges 4:14Then Deborah said to Barak, “Go! This is the day the Lord has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the Lord gone ahead of you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men.Judges 4:15At Barak’s advance, the Lord routed Sisera and all his chariots and his whole army by the sword. Sisera got down from his chariot and fled on foot.Judges 4:16Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Haggoyim. All Sisera’s troops fell by the sword; not a man was left.
Judges 5:20From the heavens the stars fought, from their courses they fought against Sisera.Judges 5:21The river Kishon swept them away, the ancient river, the river Kishon. March on, my soul; be strong!
