Dioscuri was an idol worshipped by sailors in the early church era.
Acts 28:11After three months we put out to sea in a ship that had wintered in the island—it was an Alexandrian ship with the figurehead of the Dioscuri.
It refers to the twin sons born to Zeus and Leda, the goddess of the moon, in Greek mythology.
