Solomon's adversary during his reign. When Solomon fell into the sin of idolatry, God struck him, and Rezon was among those who rebelled and became king of Syria.
1 Kings 11:23God also raised up Rezon son of Eliada as an adversary to Solomon; he had fled from his master Hadadezer king of Zobah.1 Kings 11:24When David destroyed the Zobahites, Rezon gathered men around him and became their leader; they went to Damascus, settled there and made him king of Damascus.1 Kings 11:25Rezon was an adversary of Israel throughout Solomon’s reign, in addition to the trouble Hadad was causing. So Rezon ruled over Syria and was an enemy of Israel.
