A descendant of Asaph, and the father of Mattaniah (descendant of Asaph), a Levite who lived in Jerusalem after returning from the Babylonian captivity.

1 Chr 9:15and Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
Neh 11:17and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the leader in beginning the thanksgiving prayer; and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
Neh 11:22The overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the descendants of Asaph, the singers.
