Sharon refers to a wide and fertile plain region in western Israel. Isaiah (Prophet) mentioned this region when speaking of the restoration of Israel.

Isa 33:9The land mourns and wastes away; Lebanon is ashamed and withers; Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel drop their leaves.
