Esther 2:12Now when every young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus, after she had completed twelve months under the regulations for the women, which were spent in beautifying themselves, six months with oil of myrrh and six months with perfumes and other cosmetics for women,Esther 2:13then in this way the young woman went in to the king: anything she desired was given her to take with her from the harem to the king’s palace.Esther 2:14In the evening she went in, and in the morning she returned to the second harem, to the care of Saasgaz, the king’s eunuch who was in charge of the concubines. She would not go in to the king again unless the king delighted in her and she was summoned by name.Esther 2:15Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his own daughter, to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, who was in charge of the women, advised. And Esther won favor in the eyes of all who saw her.
