This document is about Amon (King of Judah). For other homonyms, please refer to the Amon document. Amon is the 15th king of the Kingdom of Judah. [See Genealogy of the Kings of Judah] He was the son of Manasseh, who is recorded as an evil king among the kings of Judah, and like his father, he practiced idolatry. Ultimately, he was assassinated by his servants in the second year of his reign, and his son Josiah became king.
