The son of Jeroboam I who died young.
1 Kings 14:1At that time Jeroboam’s son Abijah became ill.
Because he fell ill due to God's judgment, Jeroboam sent his wife to Ahijah (prophet) to inquire about God's will, but he heard a message of judgment from God. Finally, the child died, but many people mourned.
1 Kings 14:17Jeroboam’s wife got up and went back to Tirzah. As she stepped over the threshold of her house, the child died.1 Kings 14:18All Israel buried him and mourned for him, just as the Lord had said through his servant the prophet Ahijah.
