He was one of Paul's co-workers. He served in the Philippian church. He fell ill and was on the verge of death, but God had mercy on him and he recovered.
Phil 2:25But I think it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need;Phil 2:26for he has been longing for you all and has been distressed because you heard that he was sick.Phil 2:27For indeed he was sick to the point of death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.Phil 2:28Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly, so that when you see him again you may rejoice and I may be less anxious.Phil 2:29So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men;Phil 2:30because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.
Phil 4:18But I have received everything and have plenty. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
