A region located not far from Baal Hazor, where Absalom killed Amnon.

2 Sam 13:23After two full years, Absalom had sheep shearers in Baal Hazor, which is near Ephraim, and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

Jesus, after raising Lazarus in Bethany, knowing that the Jews were plotting to kill him, left Bethany with his disciples and went to Ephraim, a place near the wilderness, and stayed there.

John 11:54Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews, but went from there to a town called Ephraim, near the wilderness, and stayed there with his disciples.

The most important region within Ephraim is Samaria.
