During the time of Nehemiah (Governor), he was a Levite who was responsible for managing and distributing the offerings brought to the temple.
Neh 13:13I appointed as treasurers Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah, one of the Levites; and Hanan son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, was their assistant, because these men were considered trustworthy. Their duty was to distribute the provisions to their associates.
