At this the king became furious, and his anger burned within him.Esther 1:13Then the king consulted with the wise men who understood the times (for this was the king's custom, to consult with all who were versed in law and judgment;Esther 1:14the ones closest to him were Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, who had access to the king's presence and sat first in the kingdom),

When Esther (Queen) exposed Haman's plot, he also gave his opinion on executing Haman.

Esther 7:9Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said, “Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, is standing at Haman's house.” And the king said, “Hang him on it.”
