Joshua 11:1and to the kings who were on the north, in the hill country, in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,Joshua 11:2to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.Joshua 11:3They went out, they and all their armies with them, many people, even as the sand that is on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots.Joshua 11:4All these kings met together; and they came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.Joshua 11:5Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”Joshua 11:6So Joshua came suddenly, with all the warriors, against them by the waters of Merom, and attacked them.Joshua 11:7Yahweh delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth Maim, and to the valley of Mizpah eastward. They struck them until they left them no one remaining.Joshua 11:8Joshua did to them as Yahweh told him. He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.Joshua 11:9Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword: for Hazor used to be the head of all those kingdoms.Joshua 11:10They struck all the souls who were in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them. There was no one left who breathed. He burned Hazor with fire.Joshua 11:11Joshua captured all the cities of those kings, with their kings, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded.Joshua 11:12But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only. Joshua burned that.Joshua 11:13The children of Israel took all the plunder of these cities, with the livestock, as plunder for themselves; but every man they struck with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They didn’t leave any who breathed.Joshua 11:14As Yahweh commanded Moses)) his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua. Joshua did so. He left nothing undone of all that Yahweh commanded Moses.Joshua 11:15So Joshua captured all that land, the hill country, all the South, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel, and the lowland of the same;

Nevertheless, the journey that you take won’t be for your honor; for Yahweh will sell Sisera into a woman’s hand.” Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.Judges 4:9Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh. Ten thousand men followed him; and Deborah went up with him.Judges 4:10Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab, Moses’ brother-in-law, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.Judges 4:11They told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to Mount Tabor.Judges 4:12Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles, to the river Kishon.Judges 4:13Deborah said to Barak), “Go; for this is the day in which Yahweh has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn’t Yahweh gone out before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.Judges 4:14Yahweh confused Sisera, all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak. Sisera abandoned his chariot and fled away on his feet.Judges 4:15But Barak pursued the chariots and the army to Harosheth of the Gentiles; and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword. There was not a man left.Judges 4:16However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.Judges 4:17Jael) went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, “Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; don’t be afraid.” He came in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.Judges 4:18He said to her, “Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty.” She opened a container of milk, and gave him a drink, and covered him.Judges 4:19He said to her, “Stand in the door of the tent, and if any man comes and inquires of you, and says, ‘Is there any man here?’ you shall say, ‘No.’ ”Judges 4:20Then Jael Heber’s wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground, for he was in a deep sleep; so he fainted and died.Judges 4:21Behold, as Barak) pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek.” He came to her; and behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent peg was in his temples.Judges 4:22So God subdued Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel on that day.Judges 4:23The hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin) the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.Judges 4:24The hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin) the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
