In the same era, Hilkiah, the high priest of King Josiah, was active, but it is highly probable that these two are homonyms.
This is because Hilkiah the high priest served as high priest in Jerusalem, while this Hilkiah lived in the land of the tribe of Benjamin, where he fathered and raised Jeremiah.
