A Levite during the reign of King Hezekiah, he was in charge of the overall management of the temple.
2 Chr 31:12They faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes and dedicated gifts. The Levite Conaniah was in charge of them and his brother Shimei was second in command.2 Chr 31:13Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath and Benaiah were supervisors under Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by appointment of King Hezekiah and Azariah the official in charge of the temple of God.
