This document is about Hiram (bronze craftsman). For other homonyms, refer to the Hiram document. He was the person who made various bronze decorations and vessels to be used in the Temple during the time of Solomon. His father was from Tyre and his mother was from the tribe of Naphtali.
1 Kings 7:13He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in bronze. He came to king Solomon, and performed all his work.1 Kings 7:14For he fashioned the two pillars of bronze, eighteen cubits high apiece; and a line of twelve cubits encircled either of them.
2 Chronicles 2:12Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, of Huram my father’s,2 Chronicles 2:13the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, in timber, and in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving and to devise any device; that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.2 Chronicles 2:14“Now therefore the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants;
