Noah is the 8th descendant of Adam and the person who built the ark when the flood occurred. There are only two people recorded as "righteous" in the Bible, and Noah is one of them. (The other is Enoch (prophet))
Lamech (son of Methuselah) begot him at the age of 182.
It is generally accepted that the ark was built over a period of 120 years, but this is not clearly recorded in the Bible.
After the flood, he lived for another 350 years and became the ancestor of humanity. He passed away at the age of 950.
