Jer 39:2In the eleventh year of Zedekiah), in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the city was breached. When Jerusalem was captured,Jer 39:3all the officials of the king of Babylon came and sat in the Middle Gate: Nergal-sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsekim the chief eunuch, Nergal-sharezer the Rab-mag, and all the rest of the officials of the king of Babylon.Jer 39:4When King Zedekiah) of Judah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled, escaping from the city by night by way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and went toward the Arabah.Jer 39:5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook Zedekiah) in the plains of Jericho. They seized him and brought him up to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him.
