노아의 방주(Noah's Ark) 는 창세기에
Noah 가 하나님의 명에 따라 자신의 가족들과 동물들을 구하기 위해 만든 거대한 배이다.
창세기에 하나님께서 이 세상에 진노하셨을 때, 큰 홍수로 이 땅을 심판하셨는데, 노아와 그 가족만이 구원을 얻은 큰 배이다.
Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.
방주는 총 3층 규모였다
15 This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16 You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.
방주는 세례의 상징이자 구원의 상징이기도 하다.
By faith, Noah , being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
