Place

A region on the Sinai Peninsula where water comes out. During the Exodus, the Israelites stayed here, but the water from this place was bitter and could not be drunk. When the people complained, Moses threw a branch into the water, and the water was made sweet so they could drink it.

Exodus 15:23The people murmured against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”Exodus 15:24Then he cried to Yahweh. Yahweh showed him a tree, and he threw it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet.
