1 Kings 15:18“There is a treaty between me and you, between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”
벤하닷 1세는 북 이스라엘 왕국의 바아사와 동맹관계에 있었는데, 유다의 왕 아사가 바아사의 공격에 계속해서 압박을 받다가, 성전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간의 금, 은을 보내며 자신을 도와 달라고 하자 바아사와의 약속을 깨고 북 이스라엘 왕국을 공격했다.
1 Kings 15:18“There is a treaty between me and you, between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”1 Kings 15:19Ben Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Beth Maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.1 Kings 15:20When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and lived in Tirzah.1 Kings 15:21Then king Asa made a proclamation to all Judah. No one was exempted. They carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and king Asa used it to build Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.1 Kings 15:22Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.1 Kings 15:23Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in his father David’s city; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.1 Kings 15:24Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel) in the second year of Asa king of Judah; and he reigned over Israel two years.
2 Chronicles 16:1Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of Yahweh’s house and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben Hadad king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,2 Chronicles 16:2“Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”2 Chronicles 16:3Ben Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck Ijon, Dan, Abel Maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.2 Chronicles 16:4When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and let his work cease.2 Chronicles 16:5Then Asa the king took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Rama, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and he built Geba and Mizpah with them.2 Chronicles 16:6At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on Yahweh your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.
