A region allotted to the tribe of Ephraim, bordering the tribe of Benjamin. It was also called Ataroth Addar.

Joshua 16:1The lot for the descendants of Joseph went from the Jordan by Jericho, east of the waters of Jericho, into the wilderness, going up from Jericho into the hill country to Bethel.Joshua 16:2It went from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the territory of the Arkites at Ataroth.Joshua 16:3Then it went down westward to the territory of the Japhletites, as far as the territory of lower Beth Horon and Gezer, and its end was at the sea.Joshua 16:4So the descendants of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.Joshua 16:5This was the territory of the Ephraimites by their clans: The boundary of their inheritance to the east was Ataroth Addar as far as upper Beth Horon.
Joshua 18:13From there the boundary passed along to Luz, to the south side of Luz (that is, Bethel), and then went down to Ataroth Addar, on the mountain south of lower Beth Horon.
