Jer 43:1When Jeremiah had finished speaking to all the people all these words of the Lord their God, with which the Lord their God had sent him to them,Jer 43:2Hoshaiah’s son Azariah and Kareah’s son Johanan and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, “You are lying! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, ‘You must not go to Egypt to live there.’Jer 43:3Instead, Neriah’s son Baruch is inciting you against us to hand us over to the Chaldeans, so that they may kill us or deport us to Babylon.”
