Two places named Antioch appear, and this document deals with Antioch in Syria (the northern region of Canaan). Usually, Antioch Church refers to the church in this region. Hearing this news, the Jerusalem Church dispatched Apostle Paul. It was there that they first received the name "Christian." When a great famine struck other regions, they began to send relief offerings from here.

Acts 11:19But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus.Acts 11:20The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.Acts 11:21The report concerning them came to the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem.
