This document is about Jotham (King of Judah). For other homonyms, please refer to the Jotham document. Jotham was the eleventh king of the Kingdom of Judah. He was the son of his father Uzziah and Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok (priest in David's time).

2 Kings 15:32He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.2 Kings 15:33He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

2 Chronicles 26:18Then Uzziah was angry. He had a censer in his hand to burn incense, and while he was angry with the priests, the leprosy broke out on his forehead before the priests in Yahweh’s house, beside the altar of incense.2 Chronicles 26:19Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked at him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out quickly from there. Yes, he himself also hurried to go out, because Yahweh had struck him.2 Chronicles 26:20Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house, being a leper; for he was cut off from Yahweh’s house. Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.2 Chronicles 26:21Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, wrote.2 Chronicles 26:22So Uzziah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the field of burial which belonged to the kings, for they said, “He is a leper.” Jotham his son reigned in his place.2 Chronicles 26:23So Uzziah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the field of burial which belonged to the kings, for they said, “He is a leper.” Jotham his son reigned in his place.

2 Chronicles 27:2He built the upper gate of Yahweh’s house, and he built much on the wall of Ophel.2 Chronicles 27:3Moreover he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers.2 Chronicles 27:4He also fought with the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against them. The children of Ammon gave him the same year one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat, and ten thousand cors of barley. The children of Ammon also gave that much to him in the second year, and in the third.2 Chronicles 27:5So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before Yahweh his God.2 Chronicles 27:6Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.2 Chronicles 27:7He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
