📌Zabad (son of Shimeath)

He was one of the leaders of the group that rebelled and killed Joash (King of Judah) during his reign.

2 Chr 24:25When Joash was severely wounded, and the army of the Arameans had left him, his servants conspired against him because of the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and they struck him down on his bed, and he died. They buried him in the City of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.2 Chr 24:26The conspirators were Shimeath, an Ammonite woman’s son Zabad, and Shimrith, a Moabite woman’s son Jehozabad.

In other Bibles, he is referred to as Jozacar.

2 Kgs 12:21The servants who struck him down were Shimeath’s son Jozacar and Shomer’s son Jehozabad. He was buried with his fathers in the City of David, and his son Amaziah reigned in his place.
