Later, it was taken back by Assyria.

2 Kings 15:29In the days of Israel's King Pekah, King Tiglath-Pileser of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-Beth-Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, Galilee, and all the land of Naphtali, and he carried the people captive to Assyria.
