Content: One of the areas conquered by Assyria. Its exact location is not known. After conquering the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Assyria took its inhabitants and forcibly resettled them in Samaria. They had a religion where they burned their children as offerings to idols. It is continuously mentioned in the Bible when referring to the northern regions.
