Place

One of the regions allotted to the tribe of Manasseh. However, the tribe of Manasseh could not completely drive out the foreign peoples, so they lived together.

Josh 17:11In Issachar and in Asher, Manasseh also had Beth Shan and its villages, Ibleam and its villages, the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, the inhabitants of En-dor and its villages, the inhabitants of Taanach and its villages, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages—the three hilly regions.Josh 17:12Yet the people of Manasseh could not take possession of those towns, but the Canaanites persisted in dwelling in that land.Josh 17:13When the people of Israel grew strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but did not utterly drive them out.

Later, after King Saul was rejected by God, he sought a medium and met a medium from this region.

1 Sam 28:7Then Saul) said to his servants, “Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him, “Behold, there is a medium at En-dor.”
