One of the areas allotted to the tribe of Simeon within the territory of the tribe of Judah.
Joshua 19:1The second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Judah.Joshua 19:2So they had as their inheritance Beersheba with Sheba, Moladah,Joshua 19:3Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem,Joshua 19:4Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,Joshua 19:5Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah,Joshua 19:6Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;Joshua 19:7Ain, Rimmon, Ether and Ashan; four cities with their villages;Joshua 19:8and all the villages which were around these cities as far as Ramah of the Negev, Baalath-beer. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families.
