Nicolas is one of the seven deacons appointed as workers in the early church.
Acts 6:5This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
He was from Antioch and had converted to Judaism before accepting Jesus.
