Moses' wife. She was the daughter of Jethro of Midian. Jethro took in Moses, who was wandering in the Midian wilderness, and Moses married Zipporah and had children.
Exodus 2:21And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
Later, when Moses was struck by God on his way to Egypt, Zipporah quickly circumcised Moses, saving him from death.
Exodus 4:25Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.Exodus 4:26So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.
After the Exodus, she came and joined the community of Moses and the Hebrew people.
