Content: One of the regions occupied by Assyria. Its exact location is unknown. After occupying the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Assyria took its inhabitants and forcibly resettled them in Samaria.
2 Kings 17:24The king of Assyria brought people from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath and Sepharvaim and settled them in the towns of Samaria to replace the Israelites. They took possession of Samaria and lived in its towns.
It was also called Cuth.
2 Kings 17:30The people from Babylon made Succoth-Benoth, those from Cuthah made Nergal, and those from Hamath made Ashima.
