Another name for the prophet Niger, who was in the church at Antioch.

Acts 13:1Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Later, when a debate arose in the church at Antioch about whether it was right or wrong to apply the law to non-Jewish Christians, he testified about the events in the church at Antioch.
