He was the king who ruled the Persian Empire. When Queen Vashti defied his command, he deposed her and chose a new queen, who was Esther (Queen).
Deceived by Haman's scheme, he ordered all the Hebrew people to be killed. However, after learning the full extent of the situation through Esther (Queen)'s determination and courageous actions, he had Haman killed and appointed Mordecai (Esther's cousin) to a high position.
