Enoch is the 7th generation descendant of Adam and one of the Messiah's lineage.

A Man Who Walked with God
He is recorded in the Bible as "a man who walked with God." This expression is used for only two people: Enoch and Noah, famous for the "Flood."
Gen 5:24Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
Gen 6:9This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
A Man Taken Up to Heaven Without Dying
According to the Genesis record, Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying.
Gen 5:24Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
The New Testament book of Hebrews explains this as follows:
Heb 11:5By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
Similarly, only two people in the Bible were taken up to heaven without dying: Enoch and "Elijah," who is called the prophet of prophets.
2 Kings 2:11As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.2 Kings 2:12Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.
One Who Pleased God
Enoch is a peculiar person whose evaluation is very high despite having almost no record of him in the Bible. Although not included in the canon, the Book of Enoch, which records stories about Enoch, is very widespread among Jews, and its content is quoted in Jude.
Jude 1:14Adam’s seventh-generation descendant, Enoch, prophesied about these people: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy onesJude 1:15to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
Enoch did not achieve great accomplishments or perform amazing deeds like other famous people. Nevertheless, he was one of only two people in the Bible who walked with God and received testimony that he pleased God.
