Genesis 5:32After Noah was five hundred years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham), and Japheth.

During Noah's Flood, he built the ark and boarded it with his wife.

Genesis 7:13On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham), and Japheth, together with Noah's wife and his three daughters-in-law, entered the ark.

After the flood ended, they came out of the ark, sowed seeds, and began to live. Noah drank wine, became drunk, and fell asleep. At this time, Ham disrespected Noah and told his brothers about his father's nakedness, while Japheth and Shem took their father's cloak, walked backward, and covered their father.

Genesis 9:19These three were the sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth.Genesis 9:20Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard.Genesis 9:21When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent.Genesis 9:22Ham), the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside.Genesis 9:23But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.Genesis 9:24When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him,Genesis 9:25he said, "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers."Genesis 9:26He also said, "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem.Genesis 9:27May God extend the territory of Japheth; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his slave."
