Tiberias is a city located on the western side of the Sea of Galilee.

John 6:1After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias.John 6:2And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was performing on the sick.John 6:3Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples.John 6:4Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.John 6:5Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?”John 6:6He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.John 6:7Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.”John 6:8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,John 6:9“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?”
John 6:23(Other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.)

This was also the place where Jesus met his disciples after his resurrection.

John 21:1After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way.John 21:2Simon Peter, Thomas, called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples were together.John 21:3Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
