Cyprus is an island in the northeastern Mediterranean Sea.

People who fled due to the martyrdom of Stephen and the resulting persecution established a church here.

Acts 11:19Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that broke out when Stephen was killed traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, telling the message only to Jews.
