A Moabite woman and daughter-in-law of Naomi. After her husband died and she became a widow, she returned to her hometown.

Ruth 1:4They took wives from among the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah and the name of the other Ruth. And they lived there about ten years.

Ruth 1:14Then they lifted up their voices and wept again. And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.
