He is the son of Terah and the brother of Abraham and Haran.
Genesis 11:26When Terah had lived seventy years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran.
He married Milcah, the daughter of Haran, meaning he married his niece. Among their children were Laban and Rebekah.
Rebekah married Isaac, and Jacob (Son of Isaac) married the daughters of Laban.
Although Nahor's name was not mentioned when Terah and Abraham left Ur of the Chaldeans, it is presumed that he moved with them, given that he settled in that region.
Genesis 11:31Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.Genesis 11:32The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran.
Genesis 12:4So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
Genesis 27:43Now therefore, my son, obey my voice: arise, flee to Haran to my brother Laban.
